Thanks for your online message about your desire to assist Pakistan in
maintaining free and fair elections. I am always happy to hear from
Ontarians interested in helping others.

As you may know, the Ontario trade mission to Pakistan was very
successful. My colleagues and I recognize that in today's hyper-competitive
economy, it is crucial that we build new relationships for trade and
investment. This is why we have travelled to China, and India and Pakistan,
and why we continue to actively promote Ontario as a place to do
business. The rise of Asia and South Asia in the global marketplace has
enormous implications for us, and our prosperity rests on our ability to
compete with, sell to, and share investment with these, and other,
emerging economies.
